Overview

  • Manages, within the delegated authority, security activities on support of the country/area of responsibility (AoR) and provides independent security advice on ICC operations within the AoR
  • Advises the HQ FSCo and the Chief of Country Office on the execution of the HQ FSCo and Chief of Country Office’s duties with regard to maintaining the safety and security of the ICC personnel and eligible family members, premises and assets in the country/AoR in accordance with the ICC and the UN Security Management Systems (UNSMS).
  • Monitors the security situation within the AoR and provides the Chief of Country Office and HQ FSCo with independent analysis of emerging security threats to the ICC personnel and eligible family members, premises and assets.
  • Monitors and reports to Chief of Country Office and HQ FSCo on security compliance for AoR.
  • Manages, on behalf of the Chief of Country Office, security activities in support of the ICC operations.
  • Reports all instances of non-compliance with security policies, practices and procedures in their area of responsibility to the HQ FSCo and the Chief of Country Office.
  • Seeks policy advice from the HQ FSCo and keeps the Chief of Country Office and personnel in the AoR informed about the safety and security policies, procedures and protocols.
